$500,000 Settlement for a Worker Injured After an Exploding Pipe Knocked Him Unconscious in Brooklyn

Accident Description:

While performing plumbing work in the cellar of a building under construction in Brooklyn, our client was assisting with repairs to leaking pipes when the plumbing system was being pressure tested. During this process, a coupling that was meant to secure the pipes failed due to excessive pressure.

As a result, the pipe violently dislodged and struck our client, knocking him unconscious and causing serious injuries, including fractures to his face and eye area. Emergency medical services were called to the scene, and our client was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injuries.
