Michael D. Cassell

Michael D. Cassell is Appellate Counsel for Oresky & Associates, pllc.  Mr. Cassell has over fifteen years of experience representing individuals in appellate practice. His primary focus of practice concerns appellate issues in Labor Law 240(1) & 241(6) cases. In addition Mr. Cassell has represented several insurance companies on a national basis in coverage disputes dealing with intellectual property, securities and environmental insurance issues. Many of these disputes involved claims worth hundreds of millions of dollars. He has also handled the defense of general liability claims, litigated commercial disputes and defended products liability and contract disputes. He has argued and authored numerous appeal briefs before the New York Appellate Division First and Second Departments; the Superior Court of New Jersey Appellate Division; and the Second and Third Court of Appeals.
